UTSA is expected to hire Louisiana’s Galen Scott as a linebackers coach, a source tells @247sports.

If I had to bet the house I’d say jumping ship. They see the head guy is in way over his head and the sinking ship this program is. These guys aren’t stupid they are looking out for their future.

True. But most coaches don’t up root for a lateral move unless there are issues at the current school.

There is an assumption here that he is not getting a nice bump in salary, lateral or not.
