The only game that matters in a series is the last one.

Thats why he needs "super stars" to win and they come along once every 5 years.
And what "super star" have we ever been blessed with since Marlin has been here. Please enlighten.

One was drafted as a junior after starting college a year younger than most.

His defensive game got better and better under Marlin.

You're right. Don't change a thing. We are killing it as a basketball program. Really living up to our once proud program. Kids are dying to come play here under the great Bob Marlin. Known all over the country as one of the elite coaches in college basketball today. Perennial giant killer. Teams around the country are scared to play us. I mean, when teams play us, they really elevate their game to come and face us. We are their superbowl. Bob Marlin. Gonna go down as one of the greatest to ever do it. We are so incredibly lucky, that in the age of the really great coaches in the G5 getting plucked up immediately to the Power 5 conferences, we've SOMEHOW been able to keep him here. How much longer? Who knows. Teams are beating down our door to get their hands on the great Bob Marlin!

That same player was National College Defensive Player of the Year as well as an NBA lottery pick. I'd say he qualifies

You named the two best of the Marlin years, and you are 100% correct. 2014 and 2015. Nobody of any merit has wanted to be part of our program since they left. Had we had NIL when they were here they would have left after 1 season.

When even the Mayor of Breaux Bridge is on the Ragin Cajun fans FB page calling out the lame status of the men’s basketball program, you know things ain’t going well.
