Thread: My recommendation for Coach Desormeaux

Next year will be 5-7 or 4-8. There will not be the pain of watching them in a bowl game with no game play.

The pain comes in a few days when we find out all the players who put their names in the portal in hopes of leaving.

With the current coaching staff basketball will be just like football. They show some signs of being good, but a ship with no captain just wanders until a new captain takes over and guides the ship with positive and knowledgeable leadership.

Unless you’re a billionaire, only thing to do is support him while he’s here and hope for a great season next year. If not, a change will be made and hopefully a bridge isn’t burned with someone who has poured his heart into this program since the early 00s.

And to answer preemptively, if he has another losing season…a change should be made. But I am still behind him and hoping with every UL fiber in my body that he is successful.
Ah no bridge should be burned. 2.1 million plus reasons. I cannot fault CMD for taking the job, since USL offered him. Life changing coin at his age.

But I would not be surprised he would be here a decade with the same results.

…….l..OK my yearly post…..l. Starting lineup next year ...maybe I should have gone back to last year at QB (never figured the happenings)...well with no NILs the QB situation is pretty good with Chris and Lunch…..RBs ok with Davis, Wash, and the Franklin kid…….so said we have a great bunch of TEs according to coaches….. not sure of OL and depth……need some proven kickers and think we lose our punter….. not sure of defensive side but know we need linemen…..the speed up offense to me has been our biggest problem on defense and to stop it we need players that can play well against short, medium, and long yardage…..got caught a bunch with subs not in place…….a bunch of teams will have this style next year as they keep their no sub offense in ready to snap the ball…..thoughts on talent next year???

I’m a Dez supporter. Very upset about the game I ATTENDED Saturday. Don’t need to get on this site and read all the bull____.

Ok, I’ll bite. Name a FBS program that allows/condones multiple years of on the job training?

I didn't say I liked it, but it is what it is. Louisiana.

So I am a Massey guy thanks to VoB….but I checked their W/L and who they played and who the teams they LOST to played…..so they lose 4 games…New Mex St (10-2) NMSt beat Auburn and only lost to Fres St and Liberty…..South Car was a Jax loss…..Liberty (13-0) was a loss….coastal Car (7-5) was a loss…..disappointed in the year, ya bet, but didn’t realize how good our bowl opponent was based upon their really great year!

My recommendations are keep your starters in at the skill position when it is 3rd and long. Target your best skilled guys more than once or twice a game.
