Maggard said he was highly recommended by Napier and Rob Sale.

I think they were keeping it classy after the Dez announcement. Napier knows that being well liked by the players isn’t enough to be D1 head coach.

Des just isn’t cut out for the job. We didn’t “keep the cULture” together. We were sold a bag of dirt. Maggard rode the coattails of Alden and piloted this ship right into the Bay of Irrelevancy. Outside of Glasco and Deggs (who took the job for Robe), his personnel decisions have been subpar. The football hire was just a whiff. He Matt Luke’d this one.

Nothing will change until the stadium is done. Not many fans are going to pony up and go risk heat stroke in the East bleachers.

There’s no reason to worry about daylight games this year. All our home games will be after 7:00 until mid October.
