Right I saw that too. But they had groups of battered piles closer to Broussard from the intersection. So I suspect minimal embankment for the overpass.

Prestressed concrete beams have come a long way. Let's hope they don't screw up their deflection calculations when they place the concrete deck. Some of the overpasses headed to Morgan City are like washboards
Edit: That was a bridge, not just an overpass.

There is one on the other side of Morgan City that is like a carnival ride!

Makes the drive interesting. Very nice harmonics.

Probably like the Jefferson Island overpasses, low angle of approach.

Are we taking bets on when the I-49 connector project through Lafayette begins?

Probably they’ll get ready to finally start and someone will claim they didn’t have public input.

The new MP spoke today and made it clear where the route was and the advantages of let 49 flyway carry the bulk of the traffic and let the thruway return to local traffic. Will definitely be more pedestrian and bike friendly.

I am 69 years old. I was hoping would get to drive on it but I doubt very seriously if I will.

    HA! So another study, maybe?

Resolutions in the Legislature seem to typically carry as much weight as a resolution declared by one of us on RaginPagin.

I, Cajunrunner, offer a resolution to my fellow members of RaginPagin, that we should all work towards an athletic program that brings in $100 Million annually in revenues by the Year 2027.

Can I get a second to bring it to a floor vote?
