Lamar went and got 3 more years experience some in the SEC since Napier didn’t hire him.

Yes. Billy called all of his own plays and ran the O. The next step for TE coach under a top 25 coach would be to get a coordinator job, where you actually call the O. Nowhere’s else in America that I have ever heard of, that the first game a coach actually calls the offense, in a game, is as the head coach that also has to manage every other aspect of the game. That’s asking an awful lot of the young coach.

Once again Mike has limited connections.

Maybe so but if mike would have hired a DB coach with SEC experience not named Lamar Morgan no one would have complained. They’d all be saying what a great hire out of the SEC.

. . . did Billy’s experience as a play caller make him a good play caller . . . wasn’t he even fired from one of those jobs . . . isn’t that one of the reasons he is having issues at Florida . . .

Vanderbilt isn't exactly a power house institution.

Michigan has one of the best defenses in the last decade and their DC was at Vanderbilt, Morgan worked under him.

And those results didn't translate to Louisiana.

You said “it’s not like Vanderbilt is a powerhouse” well their DC is at Michigan now and produced a historically dominant defense, but I guess we are a notch above Michigan in regards to where we get our coaches. It also translated to the 36th ranked defense in the country in his first year as the DC here.

36th ranked and still lost 6 games. Let that sink in. You can sunshine pump all you want. For the most part when the money/game was on the line the defense didn't show up at the show down.

Billy’s experience got him in the conference championship game 3 years in a row and a conference championship. That’s all we are asking for.
