I didn't hear this bowl game speech, but a couple years ago at the UL football banquet where jerseys are handed out to seniors, and awards to other players, Brian gave a small school can do speech.

I have to admit I got upset (slighlty) with Brian then.

Rightly or wrongly I thought his message came across as "I did it in spite of the school" when I think his message should focus on "I was able to do it because of the school."

I'm sure he means small budget, but don't expect Bower to admit that his budget is a lot closer to ours than it is to the "big" schools Brian mentioned. Everybody thinks they are big time, the best, #1, etc. The competitive mentality is not rational. Present to it some contradictory statistics and it will still tell you it is #1 (or at least change the subject to "Our band is #1").

USM has been ranked, been to bowls 8 out of the last nine years and has twelve straight winning seasons. Louisiana Là is a high school compared to USM. You are LSU wannabe's. Ole Miss and MSU suck. That is true. LSU and LaTech don't suck in Louisiana. All the other 1A schools suck bigtime in La. ____, LaLa couldn't even beat out ASU for a bowl in their hometown this year. That is just hilarious.
