Just saw recent additions to College Football Hall of Fame. Why isn't Brian Mitchell in College HOF? He had a great college career and set records at the time. Being a huge Cajun and Mitchell fan I might be a little bias but c'mon. Brian had a much better college career than quite a few of current HOF members. Am I missing something here?

As a die hard Cajuns fan as well as a Redskins fan I can say that it's an overlooked postion and Brian had some great players on his team that overshadowed him. He will get in but it ll be on the hall of fame schedule no one elses. His college team had nothing to do with the travesty of him not being in.

Brian was the first dual threat quarterback in college to combine thousand yard running and multiple thousand passing in a season. That’s not being a special team guy. Since he did it it’s become common place. But he was the first.

Yup no doubt..but the NFL hall of fame has zero to do with college career.. Brian deserves hall of fame period based on his pro career which is what matters.

My point is Brian deserves to be in the College Football HOF based on his college career at UL. Separate from that he should be in Pro Football HOF solely based on pro career.
