What bball program would you think should be our model for wins, attendance , integrity, etc. Like if you could transplant that program here and now, who would it be?

Ten years ago, we were beating Houston in the Cajundome. Now, they're a top 10 program who also went to the Final Four.

I'm not saying we should be a Final Four team every year, but a program that can pull off a few more wins against some better non-conference competition to generate some excitement from our fan base.

Just a hypothetical out of curiosity: would people advocating for a regime change be placated if we averaged the same result through CBM's tenure (W-L, SBC championships, and NCAA tourney appearances) but routinely pulled in 5k fans and got a P5 to come to the dome once a year?

Would this hypothetical include the same results in conference play? If so, I think there would still be rumblings. I noticed it in 2018 baseball. We were drawing the crowds and good opponents, but became victims of our own past success. In this case, outside of last season, we compete in conference maybe once every 4-5 years.

Wait for the list of non FBS programs, private universities and flash in the pan programs, like FAU and SDSU (how’s their 50 year record). Never can find one with a sustained success rate as desired here.

This is what happens when you allow our program to be taken hostage by a handful of sycophant boosters. This is what happens when the Pres of the Rebounder Club is best friends with the wives of the coach & the AD.

I waited until I could get confirmation from more than one person to post this, and that confirmation came today.

Apparently, according to at least three people in or around the complex, the esteemed president of the Rebounder's Social Club is going around the athletic staff, threatening to sue me over 'slander' because of this post. I believe the exact phrase is, "I lawyered up to go after MAT."

As hilarious as that might sound to most reasonable people (especially those who have spent any amount of time around legal proceedings), this is indeed what is being said.

Madam President, I want to be extremely clear: I WELCOME any legal action you're prepared to levy against me. I have spent the better part of a decade in a litigious environment. I have top-notch representation and would relish the opportunity to present several documents in an open court or civil hearing proceeding that would not only prove my claims but might embarrass some involved. Those documents include a physical threat of bodily harm to me personally by someone in your circle.

Assuming you can find an attorney silly enough to destroy their reputation over a fan's post on a message board, I'll be prepared to defend myself and counter for same.

Instead of looking like a total moron and p¡ss¡ng off a judge, may I present an alternative option? You have a standing invitation to join me on the podcast and we can discuss our differences in an open forum. I'm perfectly fine with you coming on the show and telling me how wrong and ungrateful I am. You name the date and time and I'll make sure it gets done.
