I know they're off to a good start in MBB this year, but their other sports have been unnoteworthy forever. But I agree, they are the model to which we should aspire to be in terms of football, athletically and administratively.

Eh you are right but I imagine if Maggard feels this way about football the same policy goes for basketball since its money games as well. Baseball is a different beast.

My understanding is that the policy against 2 for 1's goes for basketball as well as football. Basketball program makes the schedule but the AD has to approve it.

It really proved nothing because it’s a moving target. They use whatever metric fits. This year it was “Liberty just kept winning.” Next year it will be well they didn’t play anybody. There is absolutely zero standard.

The odds of playing two fcs and finishing 6-6 and not being eligible is low, I'd roll the dice on that everytime and most times at 6-6 you'd get the waiver over a 5-7 team that didn't play fcs
