The majority of these NIL deals are paid to the athlete as a weekly check. When the athlete isn't producing as expected, his playing time decreases which further reduces the production. Then the weekly paycheck disappears. This is what happened with JB at Memphis. As this continues to happen, certain schools/coaches will develop a negative reputation and have a harder time recruiting transfers. I feel the long term impacts on the team will be negative as players will be worried about producing individual numbers instead of doing what is best for the team--think making that extra pass instead of taking a contest jumper.
. . . once the fraud is figured out, the players will just demand all the cash up front or that the vehicle come without a loan and the haves will continue to poach from the have nots, it will just cost a little more . . . that will further whittle down the number of haves as those who only have enough ass to compete as Memphis may have done with Brown will not be in competition for the best of players . . .
Here is the 24 team FCS style bracket for this year. This is for fun and I get a lot of requests to see what it would look like. Don’t take it too serious. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/cLxRWuznXb
