All I know is that not only do teams know they now have a shot at pulling off a historical kick a.. season but the fan bases can be marketed this point as well. The fan is the mark.
Everyone remembers the BCS. it was a 100% certainty no small market program was going to upset the "levers of power". FF to today and the P5s now have free agency and are paying players. (So can we but you get the point).
There is only one thing Louisiana Football has to do.
There's also the fact that going to the NFL is still a dream for most athletes, especially the talented ones. They won't all play so going to a P5 is not always a good option. Sure you can take a couple hundred grand upfront to sit on the bench, but why do that when you can star at a G5, still go to the playoffs, and potentially make millions in the NFL?
More talented players means more opportunities for success.
