He was very very closed to going to GA Tech last year and this year the Tulane president did not hire the AD Fritz wanted so he is leaving. And for a big bump in pay and to a team now in the Big 12 that has no big dog anymore. Fertitta is pumping a lot of money into that program.

At this stage, the difference between the American and Sun Belt continues to shrink. Perception wise, American is still viewed as a higher level league. Results on the field show that is not necessarily correct.
