Financials and academics aside, Troy is a much much better program.

Financials is what makes a program. And recruting base. Both of which are advantages to Tulane over Troy. Troy has to deal with Bama and Auburn in state. And it's in the middle of nowhere.

For college QB's the top 2 are Daniels and Pratt. Zeon is like Daniels in that he can hurt you with his legs and arm.

I went look up QB Rating for all players.
    1) Jayden Daniels: 208
    23) Michael Pratt: 158.9
    39) Chandler Fields: 151.2
    42) Zeon Chriss: 150.9
    68) Hank Bachmeier [La Tech]: 140.5
    74) Ben Wooldridge: 139.4

I'm not sure about that. There are some schools with vast budgets who underperform, and vice versa.

As a quick example, the 'Belt is the worst-funded of the G5, but we appear to be the leaders in football, the biggest sport for revenues & expenses:

Texas A&M is another good example.

    Big hire for Tulane...

  10. UL Football Re: Tulane’s new coach

Bad news for UL, especially CMD. Competing with Tulane having a good coach is much worse than Troy having a good coach.

Not done yet according to Pat Forde, Troy has made a counteroffer.

Not a lateral move in terms of Football Operations budget, NIL, larger market and some of the best prep talent in the country in his own backyard.
