Thread: Martin Hall vs. the Students.

  1. #1

Default Martin Hall vs. the Students.

As students, we get only one perk of a bowl game: a cheaper ticket, $67 (comes out to $73 with fees). Never mind the fact that general admission tickets NOT through UL are $60.

On top of this, they give no incentive for us to go and show up and out. No package that includes a hotel for Friday night and some tourism/food money. No fan bus. Nothing to make it worth it.

Now, if they roll it out in the next couple days, that’ll be great. I understand that I may be jumping the gun in griping. But once again, the students are left to dry and then expected to turn around and support the university that actively hates them.

$30 GA endzone tickets through the bowl.
    This is the best deal.

First of all, The New Orleans Bowl sets prices for tickets, not Martin Hall.

Second, UL is not here to subsidize your weekend trip to New Orleans. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way.

More so going from the student angle but thank you, I guess I can just go over to the student section and say hey, I’m a student

That’s true, but any chance I can get to gripe at Martin Hall, I will regardless of how much in the right I am

He never said UL would pay for it. He simply stated some sort of package that included all that.

No way in heck the university would sponsor a package for students to attend a bowl game. Liability.

I think his point was begging MH to create something to generate interest and excitement for students.

What would be cool is a train to Nola and back with tickets...12 hour turnaround...just an idea...

Never heard of a package that included tourism and food money.
