Pretty much so and the AA isn't making money off of the trip. The cost for this trip is a lot more than you think - way more than $2000. Also, the trip for the bus is more than 2 hours each way. I'm not exactly sure where it is coming from but it's not Lafayette and the driver was not included in the cost of the bus. The AA was going to use the UL busses but at the last minute were told they were not available so had to have Hotard jump through hoops to get one. Also it's Bud light and Doritos!

I'm sure they took a big loss for the Independance Bowl last year. Had 3 busses, but well over half the people cancelled the morning of, when they saw it was about 11 degrees in Shreveport. We ended up taking 2 busses, each about half full. Was a good trip. But when they opened that bus door at the stadium, the rest of us probably wished that we had cancelled too. I've never felt cold like that.
So maybe they are using this trip to recoup last years loss.

I paid to go last year, even though I cancelled. I did not ask for nor did I receive a refund. Since I did reserve a seat, I figured I would not or should not receive a refund.

Honestly, if it is something like cheap beer and small snacks (especially if something like just cold cut or chicken salad sammiches), then it’s really not a bad deal at all.

$150 for you to have a couple beers there and a couple back, while someone else drives there for you, and you have a restroom. You’d go through at least $45 (depending on the car) alone in gasoline going there and back. You can get hammered at the game, continue drinking on the way back if you’d like to celebrate the win, and someone else is getting you home safely. Or take a nap to sleep it off.

OK then, but I guess no one is being forced to do this. I have been on 2 other bus trips, and they were both pretty well done. (UL VS ULM and the '21 bowl game) For me, it is worth the money. Each person has to decide what is a value for them.

The bus trips are fun. Good people and no worries. This one just did a west coast gasoline price style jump.
I hate to miss this one. Love the Dome and have buds on the NOLA bowl committee I visit with. They do love the Cajuns.
