What Teams get left out of the Playoffs?

I believe they got the right teams in the playoff. It's not whoever wins a conference, it's who are the best teams. Fla St is undefeated, but they don't look as good of a football team as Texas or Bama. ACC is the weakest conference. It's a selection committee, it's by opinion. I don't really care for it, but it's at least the last year of it.

I believe that we need a 16 team playoff system with 10 conference winners and 6 at large teams!! Only fair way!

I could understand this argument if they had the same record, but they don’t.

And if FSU had the #5 sos they would have a lost or more.

I could understand this argument if they had the same record, but they don’t.

When you look at their resume it's very understandable. No SEC team that ever won the championship game and went undefeated in conference play has been left out of the championship playoff series.

So, Florida St went undefeated in the ACC with wins over LSU #13 and Louisville #17 before the game playing the #55 SOS.

Alabama lost to Texas #3, defeated #1 Georgia, #11 Ole Miss, #13 LSU, #17 K-State (at that time and #21 Tennessee (at that time) playing the #17 SOS during the regular season.

Did the committee promise that no undefeated power conference champion will be left out? Of course, they did, but who would trust these people especially after leaving Fla. State out because of SOS and allowing Liberty in with a #133 SOS.

That's not Alabama's fault, their resume is worthy.

It suck’s being the “first” to get screwed over. We got the distinction of being the first top 12 RPI team in softball not to host.

He acknowledged that he needed to win more of those games. I was not surprised we didn’t host.

Think back to pre-BCS days of the polls crowning the National Champ. We'd definitely have Michigan vs Washington in the Rose Bowl. Alabama vs. FSU in the Sugar Bowl? Orange Bowl gets Ohio State vs. Texas. The Rose Bowl would host the de facto championship game. While Florida St. got snubbed, in an alternate dimension they'd only be playing for a Top 5 ranking no different from this season for FSU.

According to this theory, Alabama should be undefeated. Period.

Edit: Alabama should’ve been undefeated with this theory in the regular season. If applying this theory, Georgia beats them in SEC championship.
