That shouldn’t even be a factor. That’s next year.

They executed this year to perfection. Won every game versus top 25 that was on their schedule. 3-0.

Bama was 4-1 against top 25, including loss against fellow playoff team. They had their shot at proving themselves against one of the best and didn’t win.

They bet the best #1 team Georgia when the money was on the line.

Over a one loss team, yes. They also scheduled LSU and Florida on the road. Let’s not act like they are Liberty here…to say they should let even be in conference is lunacy

Both conferences with 14 teams. ACC has 3 teams with losing records, SEC has 5. Both FSU and Alabama played 2 each of those losing teams.

FSU needed to schedule better OOC games.

FSU and Alabama both played 4 non-conference games, each had an FCS opponent (that's a wash). FSU played LSU (9-3), Florida (5-7) and Southern Mississippi (3-9). Alabama played Texas (12-1), South Florida (6-6) and Middle Tennessee State (4-8).

Reportedly, the decision to put Alabama ahead of Florida State was due to the injury of Jordan Travis, and the committee only had the Florida and Louisville games to see how much of a dropoff there was with the backups. They obviously did not like what they saw.

Guess they never saw the dodgers of the 80's or Knicks of the 70's

That problem could have been avoided if FSU had more threads debating who was QB1 instead of sticking with a clear cut QB1

The SEC/ESPN, er committee, was not gonna leave the SEC out of the playoff. I'll say it again, Bama lost at home by 10 to Texas, and beat a very bad Auburn team that lost to New Mexico State on a miracle play that never should have happened. Florida State got screwed plain and simple.

I believe they got the right teams in the playoff. It's not whoever wins a conference, it's who are the best teams. Fla St is undefeated, but they don't look as good of a football team as Texas or Bama. ACC is the weakest conference. It's a selection committee, it's by opinion. I don't really care for it, but it's at least the last year of it.

I believe that we need a 16 team playoff system with 10 conference winners and 6 at large teams!! Only fair way!

If high school can do it why not college!
