If FSU doesn't get in, it would be the first time ever that an undefeated P5 conference champion is left out. Their QB situation shouldn't diminish their season.

I don’t disagree. I’m just trying to think how the committee would think. It’s such a crapshoot. This is another reason why college football is flawed.

This is a hard one. But they keeping saying “the best four teams.” If you watched Florida St against Florida, they were not a top 4 team.

If you watched them last night against Louisville, their offense was an absolute disgrace. If their #1 QB is healthy, they probably win those 2 games easily.

But while it’s harsh, it’s supposed to be the best four teams. Florida State clearly isn’t one of them right now.

I think Michigan, Washington, Alabama and Texas.

And you can’t penalize Texas for beating bama. If you put bama in then Texas is in. Texas is in regardless. It comes down to fsu and bama.

And why is Georgia not even being considered? Their only loss is to Bama, while Bama lost to Texas by 10 at home, and Texas lost to a pretty average Oklahoma.

That’s literally a bullet point in the selection process.
They deserve to get in, but they are not better than Texas or Bama without Travis.

So the season doesn’t matter then. Just play a 133 team tournament starting week 1 if that’s how it’s judged.

Agreed! The fact they keep winning since their QB1 went down says it all. They have to be in.
