What Teams get left out of the Playoffs?

To me, Texas doesn’t have the resume. Yes, they beat Bama, but it was earlier in the season. Bama has the signature win in CFB this year and played a much more difficult schedule than Texas. Also, no way the SEC Champ with a victory over #1 gets left out.

Who gets left out? All I can say is I'm glad I'm not on that committee. Politics and money will play into this decision more than they should. There is no right answer as to who should be in the playoff. That's why it needs to be 8 teams. All the power conferences get one team in. G5 gets one team in. Two at large births.

Overall SOS belongs to Texas, marquee wins belongs to Bama. Head to head that 10 point win is tough to argue against.

Texas beat bama at bama by 10 I don’t care when it was. That should trump everything when comparing the two teams resumes. Who cares if they are in the sec??

This is the last time they will have this issue and it’s a tough one. With the pac 12 going away you’d have 4 p5 conferences next season. Ironically they’re going to the 12 team playoff.

Personally I think Michigan, Ohio state, Texas, Alabama, and Georgia are the best teams. But Washington and fsu earned a spot.
