Question for the construction folks around here. I passed by this morning and I see they are blasting the stadium with a firehose as they are demolishing. Is this to keep the dust to a minimum?

What i am kinda surprised is that they are no longer demo-ing from the rear anymore…just from the sides. I had thought they would continue knocking it down like they did on day one, when they took down the elevator shaft, etc. Guess this is the best way….i am sure they know more than I do about how to best do this, lol.

Yep. The two best words to describe all this are bittersweet and surreal. Oh, and with a lot of elation thrown in as well. I am really looking forward towards the live cam construction feeds.

Coming in from the sides puts the equipment higher and they don't have to reach as far up. It's safer.

I'm thinking the demo contractor has offered a bonus to the crew if they get the upper deck down before Christmas. We will see how serious they are if they work between Christmas and new years.
