Dave was listed a few weeks ago on the GOAT page, cruised over after check h/s football scores.

It is fact that both Dave and Lyn have been let go by Townsquare. They waited until after football season to make this move. Disappointed we no longer have anyone pushing our brand on the network that carries our games.

No kidding. Dude is horrible. I listened for about 30 seconds one day and then shut it off.

Worse than the articles is the fact that when you click on one on your cell phone, it feels like you have been hacked from all the pop-ups and adds embedded in the actual article.

Yeah, with the ridiculous amount of pop up ads, video ads popping up, etc. you’d think everyone at Townsquare would be a millionaire by now.

That's an absolute disappointment. Not sure what the agreement was when they brought Dave back. A hail Mary? Townsquare has parted with any talent they've had.

It's sad joke that the station that carries UL sports has NO UL SPORTS TALK!

I hope Dave sticks around and gets another gig. I like his coverage. I'll continue listening to Locked on Sunbelt.

Probably they saw the writing on the wall when they reviewed the ratings. Both sports radio stations in town have abysmal ratings. With LSU A&M BR in 103.7 there is no room for Cajun sports on that station.. You have to face reality in business, if it doesn't make money you just stop doing it. I would suspect radio listeners for UL sports are on the decline just as people attending the game in person is.. LSU having a bigger fan base results in more listeners results in more ad revenue. As Vito Corleone said "it's nothing personal it's just business".

That being said.... terrestrial radio is on life support. It will go the way of C band satellite TV. Satellite TV is on the way out. It's all going to streaming, podcasts or services like Hulu and others.

The contract between Learfield and Townsquare goes for four more years after this one. One thing illustrating the new world is our women's basketball play by play guy. He is Dawson Iserloh from 103.7. Sorry if I misspelled his name. He does an outstanding job. Strange now to have someone from a competing station be a broadcaster on the network that carries our games. I wonder how Townsquare feels about that. In reality, they have no influence on that decision.

Dawson is the best in town on the radio by far. Too bad his cohost Raymond is AWFUL. Wish Dawson could team up with Dave.

You are correct in Dawson being great at play by play AND Talk Radio. He may get his own show someday.
