It could reach that total. That is how many I heard that is thinking about entering the portal. Hopefully the staff can convince some of those to stay.

15 to 17 is probably near a worse case scenario if that is how many are considering it. Some are probably guys who figure they are unlikely to get significantly more playing time than they are getting now. That number is probably similar to most schools.

Gant hasn't actually entered portal yet per 247. There portal list is almost in real time updated every 5ish minutes.

Dude was a stud in high school. We will lose around 15-17 players in the portal.

He was a good kid coming out of HS, but it will a better opportunity for him to find playing time elsewhere. He wasn't playing much here so I'm not surprised. Everyone leaving is not because they are receiving NIL offers.

Ohio St. has 10 players in the portal including the starting QB. It happens, kids look for better situations and opportunities. Ceasar is not Gant, so I'm not really concerned about him leaving. Just like in softball, those type of kids can be replaced.
