Reporting Coastal to Hawaii. Probably announced early because of the logistics to get there.

Is bowl revenue shared with all conference members? If so, with 12 of 14 schools in bowl games, members should fare pretty well overall, yes?

In SBC, all income to the conference, including bowl revenue, is put in the general distribution pot and distributed evenly among the members.

So there’s a bowl the SBC will certainly be upside down on.

    7 time zones.

Talked to someone about this today.

If a bowl has ticket obligations, the conference absorbs the costs, not the team. League gets half the ticket revenue.

A team that is in a bowl is given $350k from the SBC as a revenue supplement. Travel expenses are reimbursed up to $150k unless it is within 400 miles, in which case only actual cost of bussing is covered.

Almost. Teams competing in bowl get a little larger share for there bowl. Then the rest goes to the conference. He said last year we received 1/3 of the bowl payout.

So, ULM and USM will get the same shares for not playing as the bowl teams?

That’s what I have been told and was shown the language of the bylaw. It’s part of the general revenue distribution. Poster above said otherwise. So _♂️
