Football: Fields Garners Davey O’Brien Award Great 8 Honor

Chandler Fields was named one of the nation's top eight quarterbacks in week 13 by the Davey O'Brien Award, it was announced Monday.

The Louisiana, native had a career performance against ULM to close out the regular season as he set the school record for single game completion percentage at 90-percent after completing 18-of-20 passes, including his last 15.

Fields accounted for 246 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns and added 38 rushing yards and a touchdown as he led the Ragin' Cajuns to a 52-31 victory to secure the program's sixth-consecutive bowl game, a school record.
