You cant minimize interest if there is no interest. Lafayette is not interested as a whole in Cajun athletics. I have been around here since late 70s. Met a guy at work today wearing a LSU sweatshirt he graduated from USL. I just bit my tongue and kept my mouth shut.

It’s amazing that self sabotage and not building relationships with our students hasn’t been a recipe for success. It’s almost like that’s kinda the point…

Right. We should be doing the complete opposite. Instead, we are trying to create exclusivity to an area where there is no demand.

Why can't we announce the 22 (24 if you count kickers) starters and have each one run out thru a tunnel of his teammates, cheerleaders, etc?

Have the last guy ..*cough* Zeon *cough*.. run out to the 50, raise his hand and then copy the Who Dat chant they do before kickoff. Alternate endzones - have north say "ragin" and South say "cajun", and alternate the fireworks between each side when they say it

I know, I know -- "the team is more important than the individual!" ... but there are some individuals I'd really like to see not portal out somewhere where they are appreciated
