Eventhough we only have seven verbal commitments at the moment, one of them is Vosky Howard, a WR from Timpson, TX. If he does indeed sign with us, he would be the highest rated 247 recruit to sign with the Cajuns in our history. He has a 3 star/.8825 ranking compared to Harvey Broussard (our #3 all time recruit) who was a 3 star/.8744 ranking.

Early signing period starts on 12/23/23.
Been on the Timpson campus many times. Thats a good find in a small town in the middle of nowhere Tx.

He should love playing for an offense that has the potential to complete 90% of its pass attempts.

I know a few that aren't listed on any sites. Heard from a dad of a DE that a really good high school QB plans to sign with UL. Can really play anywhere on the field.

It appears that UL has no problem securing serviceable skill position players. I want to see some “quality” offensive & defensive linemen signed! When we look back at the late Hud and Napier years, the Cajuns won big because of our OL. Dotson, Hunt, Mitchell, Torrance, Vallot and others were the unsung hero’s and heartbeat of the team allowing Levi and the skill players to shine. I am a firm believer that more games are won or lost based on the play of the interior line than anything else (excluding turnovers).
We can’t get enough quality big guys onboard!

This past class had some extremely talented OL prospects.

Time will tell. All we heard pre season was how good our D line was and they were horrible.

The recruiting up to this point is not a concern. I know they continue to offer a few JC's, specifically at OT and DL. One is the former Acadiana High School Walter Bob at Hutchinson JC. I really think they need to look at the portal as well at OT. But we shall see what happens next month.

CMD is recruiting like a Mutha.

If he can iron out the negatives to this point in his tenure, he very well could be another Robe.

    I'm ridin' with Mike.

Not necessarily, I don't think all of them are terrible. I think it has everything to do with what you are asking them to do in your system.
