First ever bowl game in 2011 and some fans acted like they won a natty. Now fans think they are “meaningless”

It’s easier to get a bowl today v 2011. A bowl should be expected.

Call it spoiled all you want but bowls don’t matter, when you only need to be average and in some cases below average to get one.

I guess the fan base believes regular season games don’t matter either since nobody shows up anymore.

An extra game is never a bad thing when planning ahead for next season. Extra practice, extra time to gel as a team. Carry momentum into the next season with a win.

So say other teams are offering him big NIL money coming off an injury. That also would be crazy.

I’m more thinking about the risk of reinjurying himself because of us trying to put him back in too soon. Just roll with Fields for this bowl game, and hopefully Zeon is still with us to be our starter next year.

Yea the season didn’t turn out like we wanted but leave The negativity for at least a few weeks leading up to the bowl. Let these players have fun! Next year (year 3) is next year and will be a tell all for the coaching staff.

Now the city where the game is held might be awful. The opponent might be terrible. But the extra game for the team is always a great thing.

I don’t think anyone is arguing that point. As far as bowl game QBs go; last picture I saw was both Ben and Zeon in walking boots and using the small scooter to get around.

Do the Cajuns continue to roll with the hot hand in CF? Or does Chriss come back from injury and return to form? Will be interesting to watch it play out.

Chances of Zeon starting is about the same as the Cajuns getting a new Head Coach.

Agree. If you compete for a conference championship you are competing for an auto bid to CFP in 2024 going forward.
