The fact is that our offense is based on a run balanced attack. In order for it to completely work, you need QB who has more of a dual threat ability. Zeon is that QB.

I love what Chandler has accomplished these last 3 weeks because he patiently waited his turn, but Zeon is the guy to lead us with the type of offense that we run.

He went 13-17 twice this year and had an overall completion percentage of 67% but please go on.

Not necessarily true. I’ll give you Ricky as OC and play caller at Va Tech. He had Michael Vick and Jim Druckenmiller 2 polar opposites. Druckenmiller probably less of a runner than chandler but Va Techs running game didn’t suffer under him. A good OC can pattern his offense around the QB not have to have all his QBs come from a cookie cutter mold.

Well, we can go back and forth on why he wasn't playing all day. Zeon's Pass Eff. was 150.9 and Fields is 151.2, drastically different right? His completion percentage was 66.7 and Fields 70.9 percent. And while Zeon was on a shorter lease when it came to the route tree, Fields was still throwing the swing passes and quick outs as well. Those are part of the play book. If you add total snaps at QB including non-starts Zeon average 61.5 yards per game on the ground. Fields averaged 1.7 yards per game. That is why he was playing over Fields, like it or not.

With coach Desormeaux's offense who's to say. I know this, Louisiana has played many defenses as bad or worse and never came close to 90%

Geezus, if Fields is as good as some here are saying than we have the worst coaching staff ever. They couldn't see the "obvious" unbelievable, all American QB Fields is. Nor could the rest of college football apparently. Some of yall are high, I swear.

Passes at or behind LOS: 8 for 8 (all to the right)
Short passes (1-5 yards): 3 for 4
Mid-range passes (5-14): 5 for 6
Deep passes: 2 for 2 (Stat broadcast has it 2 for 3 because of a DPI)

Here's the catch to that: our offensive scheme is usually the same with whoever is QB. We ran some designed plays for Fields to even run in the last few weeks. I'm not saying he can't do it. But Zeon has more of the ability to be more effective based on his certain skills.
