QB Play was not the issue in the games Fields played this year. Coach Dez said that in his post game presser. You could argue questionable calls cost us the games against both USM and Troy. Inability of defense to get off the field on third down was the biggest factor of those games. Chandler has improved greatly over last season. He did not move in the pocket well last season resulting in several sacks. He is much more decisive in those situations this season. He also gets the team in the right formations much more effectively this season. Running the ball also helps keeps things honest. Finally, he is not always looking for the home run ball. Focuses on throwing to the open guy.
