Ok...so what's your next step? Develope and send over a marketing plan to UL Athletics? Send these logos you've been pouring out the last 6 months to Addidas and UL Marketing? Des had a hoodie on in his press conference this week that had nearly the same logo...You've outlined 6 steps, can you sell those to UL, MH, or Athletics?

Not saying you don't have some good logo ideas...you do. But other than posting them here, what are you planning to do with them? You keep posting this stuff, so you must have a "next step" plan, right? Otherwise, M$M is right....

All I am saying is that if you want to get to the next level then this what needs to be done .

I am saying this is what real big time universities do.

Not marketing and not trying is what we do.

It doesn’t matter what logo we use. As long as we establish the Louisiana name.

Many Universities use different logos, but my only point to this is that if you create a logo that tells people who you are and what we represent then it is a win.

We don’t just represent Ragin Cajuns but we represent Louisiana as well.

So do I care if they use the FDL, or mine! No I don’t just as long as it has what other big time universities have.

One day I hope we are like a Texas, Arkansas, Alabama that is the dream I have for this University!

One part of that is acting and looking the part, and not looking small time .

Do a google image search for the schools below and look at the different results compared to searching for UL Ragin Cajuns:

Texas A&M
Michigan Wolverines
Texas Longhorns
Louisiana Tech
LSU


We have over 7 different logo's popping up where as the others have their primary logo, with 1-2 alternative logos popping up that at least contain the primary image of their school.

We have no consistent image to our school.

How many of those logos has a symbol or logo representing Louisiana or UL? Probably none.

I personally don't like your original state outline with FDL. The fleur des lis is not enough of a symbol where people will say "Oh man, that is the University of Louisiana logo."

Maybe a professional marketing firm polishing the design would change my mind.

A little inside baseball: Leslie would excoriate you for making logos with the beloved FDL touching or being inside of any other image, especially the text. They are so sensitive about that particular logo, it can't be combined with anything.
