    A couple things though:
    1. I don’t think it should be up to the student organizations to come out of pocket for a different tailgating location just to not get harassed.
    2. This notion of fixing the student issues in the off-season has been a thing now for several years. Maggard and university officials have had meetings with student orgs. It isn’t working. Whether the blame lies with the university or athletics, I don’t know. My guess would be the university. A public statement of this failure is needed to hold their feet to the fire.

I won’t judge the student orgs if they decide a boycott is in their best interest. The university clearly doesn’t have that in mind. They should look out for themselves.
I agree with both your #1 and #2. However having student org's boycott is noble but we need a total boycott of fans/students for 1 game and make it very public ahead of time. That's the only way any traction will be had to fix things and let the university know we are sick and tired of their nonsense.

The opposite. I was originally commenting that the Greeks need to proactively come up with a solution, but I just went re-read the email and I guess that's somewhat of an initiative. Again, I wasn't a part of Greek life so I don't understand what an unregistered event is lol. Since the University is involved in your brotherhood, you have to let them know when you want to hang out?

I did all my unregistered events on the Strip, Downtown, and at apartments/rent houses.

Let the Greeks register and explain themselves here to our Cajun National Assembly.

It's crazy that as a fanbase this is what we have to resort to so the admins will listen to us. But what's even crazier is for us all to keep doing the same thing, proposing ideas on a message board that won't ever make it in the right hands and continuing to show up at games and giving the appearance that things are acceptable. No matter the situation it's all about controlling the narrative and the one that controls the narrative wins. Right now we (fans) aren't controlling the narrative, we are crowing in the background and the die hard fans are showing up religiously for more ____ sandwiches.

One game of boycotting will go a LONG way with the proper message conveyed as to why there is a boycott. Anything less of a stance/message is just a hope and everyone knows hope isn't a strategy.
Sorry to inform you brother these post do make it in the right hands. They just don't give a ____.

If that's the case then a boycott is even more justified.

We will not be at the game. I let my money do the talking. We just need many more to show the administration we mean business.

I agree with both of your points, but if I were still a student facing the same issues...I'd just put some money together and buy our own spot. Some Greek alum chime in and let me know if that's not even possible because of all of this registering of hanging out and whatnot.

    It's 100% a MH issue.

Agreed. But they seem to be clueless as to why people are letting their money do the talking. Maybe we do a fundraiser for a few billboards as well to voice our displeasure.

I don't think you're wrong but don't forget that crowd when we hosted Troy FB last year. 7K fans bothered to show up for the best team in the SBC. How did MH and Athletics respond in 2023? Abysmal marketing, attacked the student orgs, digital tickets to an ancient fanbase and played the silent game with the stadium renovation renderings. Lol

    It's an SNL skit.

There have been games where no students showed up.

If the Greeks boycotted, I wouldn't know the difference.

Instead start an initiative to get the Greeks more involved so that someday their presence will be appreciated by all.

A boycott is stupid. Just do you and show up. Why even worry about all that crap. Plenty of ways to drink and have a good time. Guess that’s today’s society. Always wanting to do some kind of protest or organized movement.

I dont think it's stupid per se, but a boycott of a stadium that's already 80% empty is pretty pointless..

Guarantee the PA guy still comes on few minutes before kickoff: "alllllllrrrrright Cajuns fannnns! Let's get looouuud!" as if the stadium is full as ever
