Then this will never end. I was referring to next season, however. Make it a thing prior to the season starting. Let them know we won't show up until they fix this ____. I realize most won't do it, but having the leverage of them needing people to show up to fill this new stadium for themselves, the donors and the advertisers. Make them feel that pressure. Nothing will ever change, otherwise. For the future existence of the program, you NEED the students to not only support the program now, but it's literally our future life blood. If you think we have no fanbase now, wait until our already older fanbase we have, dies off. We have to stop being short-sighted. I promise you ______ will pucker if there's a big movement to boycott prior to the season.

We have already decided to drop our six season tickets for next season.

This conflicting left hand right hand message is rather amazing and head scratching.

How can one arm put forth an effort to garner community support while at the same time another arm tries to squash community support.

    All from the same institution.

Reminds me of the conflicting directional (stacked) Ragin Cajuns logo.

How about this. Maybe ALL students boycott this last game. And everyone bring an old t-shirt with an R.I.P. written on it, to the game and slide them over the backs of all the seats in the student section. Let that camera see all those empty seats with RIP t-shirts on the seats. Make a statement!!!

I'm not a fan of organizing and promoting boycotts.

Im also not a fan of talking someone out of a personal decision.

    Sounds conflicting, I know.

Some? Try most.. We did it in 2004-2008 so I can only imagine how many do it now.

I've always brushed it off as hyperbole when people say this admin doesn't want the kind of fans we're talking about bringing back. However, seeing that "R1 Top Tier" banner hanging in the Cajun Dome the other night - twice the size of any of our BB Conference Championship banners - finally hammered it home.

We're over here arguing about how to move toward P5-level support for athletics, while our admin thinks of the university as some kind of Ivy League Lite school, where sports are an afterthought and your school churns out graduates for other cities and states.

Wow, I've never seen such a concise comment on this topic.

They want to be Rice. They want a handful of controllable, well-to-do people, to pay all of the bills and keep the peace. Empty stadiums be damned. Now maybe people will start believing me when I say the admin hates the fans.

This whole thing is laughable. We are driving away future donors and alumni who groups like the RCAF will be calling in the next 10 years asking for donations.

This school is afraid of its own shadow sometimes.

It's beyond confusing. From an institution which advertises during its own FTBL games about settling goals and accomplishing them they sure know how to keep moving field goals as well.

The agenda has not only been exposed but is clear as day. I wonder if anyone in that bldg. actually watches College Football. I'm not talking about Louisiana games. I'm wondering if they have ever actually watched a game from the states surrounding ours. They seem to have no clue that nearly every state in the Union has two major FTBL Programs. Oddly enough they can't figure out why the highest NFL talent producing region in that Union only has one P5. Maybe with all the supposed brain power this would be a piece of cake (to figure out). ITS YOU!

Since obviously no one at MH watched us @ the South, they missed a tad bit of proof concerning attendance growth and the correlation with Greek row. USA recently finished their new stadium, and it is slick. The South decided they felt like beating the hell out of Oklahoma State up in Stillwater and did. Anyhow, greek row gets moved to right next to their new stadium and poof! like magic, attendance is rocking! Needless to say but don't forget, USA is in ALABAMA, where u get just a tad bit of pushback by not pulling for ALABAMA. However, the South and Troy are having great seasons!

The moral of the story is to give notice to UL that what USA has done, worked. What UL is doing doesn't work. If a University was new to the game (that being FBS Football) (the bell cow) whose methodology would shine brighter Louisiana's method (demonizing greeks) or the South's modus operandi.

Since we all know you didn't watch College Gameday (because who wants the front porch successful) you may have missed James Madison University (you know, that SBC East Program, you know, that conference Louisiana is in) had 26,000 alumni, students, faculty, etc.show up to. Potentially, the largest College Gameday crowd of all time.

UL University Police would be all over such a scene writing as many tickets and confiscating as many student IDs as possible.
