The aggregate of plays wins or loses a game. A famous coach once said never put yourself in a position where a bad call could cost you victory.
The body of work did just that.
Except it was one play with HUGE consequences. Instead of punting, the drive continued for a score. Not saying that cost the game, there were opportunities to win but that was an important call.
Like the pick in the end zone? That was a big play. Human nature tends to blame others and gloss over our own shortcomings.
Kind of like that log in one’s own eye thing.
The NFL announcers were refreshing, pulled no punches and brutally honest pretty much the entire game.
