He has the #3 recruiting class coming in. We should see soon what he can do.

Billy is "knocking socks off" on the recruiting side of things if you're paying attention

Florida and CBN will be fine if the administration stays out the way and boosters don’t sabotage the process.

So that's at least two complete seasons where we've lost money for every home game, a couple of those crowds not approaching 40% of what we need to make money at CF.

By the numbers, not only is it a horrific strategy, it's creating even more financial problems by hurting attendance well into the future.
    Easy to comprehend.

They were ranked #3 last week. Currently ranked #5 on 247

Losing Big Sauce, and not adequately replacing him, has really hurt this team defensively. If you're going to run a 3 man front, you need a nose that demands a double pretty much every play to help make your blitzes more effective. We don't really have a 3-3 nose on this roster, and they aren't easy to find. Maybe we can find another diamond in the portal.

You do realize the transfer portal was also around during Billy's 1st year here.

The portal was around but athletes not having to sit out a year changed in 2021 I believeand that changed everything.

Don't look at these current ranking because it will come down to who actually signs, or jump ships. Billy's class has been leaking top commitments.

That is correct probably would probably be a useful tool to use here.

We don’t have someone from 24/7 covering us. Coach Dez likes it that way

LoL! They knew the age of NIL was here when they hired Des. And yet they still hired a coach with zero head coaching experience. So yeah, that makes it an even dumber decision. That excuse holds no water anyway. Literally every school has to deal with the same thing.

They have been strategizing the stadium redo for years. I'm guessing when it became clear that part of the redo was going to rely on state money, they started looking for ways to smooth the waters.

Napier leaving provided them with the perfect opportunity to not rock the boat with the next HC. So, they did 2 birds with 1 stone. Downsized the contract and tried to get another Robe.

I am also guessing that CMD is probably safe until all funding has been secured for the completion of the project.

Being completely honest, that is not a bad strategy.
    "tried to get another Robe."

Uhhh, Robe had several years of college head coaching experience before he came here. That's not getting another Robe. That's just hiring another local guy.

Also, hiring a guy on the cheap is a terrible strategy. Especially since he was hired to continue the culture, so things would "stay the same". But, if having a successful football program isn't your goal, then I guess it's a good strategy. Congratulations MH.
