I have never accused LSU of copying anything you mentioned.

I used the phrase "in answer to" I did not say copy.

I have said using the "L" and using "Louisiana" as a stand alone reference will dilute the well established LSU brand.

I didn't realize JMU in Harrisonburg was so close to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville (62 miles) and Washington DC (130 miles). Kind of like Lafayette to Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

True enough, but that’s as far as the situation is similar to us and LSU. Different cultures. Virginia had George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Louisiana had Monroe, and Huey Long. Last I checked Jefferson was only interested in black female slaves, and Huey in LSU football for diversion.
