Program will be stagnant until Marlin leaves. He is due for some bad years here, he had the good one already this decade.

In all honesty playing 3 games in 3 days next week will be an indicator of this. It will be interesting to see how the bench can contribute and keep minutes down for the starters. I want to see how Kobe does going 3 in a row with his fitness and if there is any drop in his production on day 2 or 3 can Butler step up. Can Ratliff come in and be effective on both ends of the floor if Kitenge gets in foul trouble? Can Thomas effectively run the point for 10 min so Fulks doesn’t have to go 35 minutes or more 3 days in a row. Can Hardy and Fields come in and contribute in a close competitive game especially if Garnett’s shots aren’t falling? It still surprised me those 2 didn’t see the floor at Toledo. Wright St will be a worthy opponent, they are 0-3 but played a neck and neck game against Toledo that they lost by 1 point and also played competitively at Indiana last night losing by 9.

With this non conference schedule, single digit losses is not even close to an accomplishment. I have many concerns about how we are going to win games, especially with how we imploded at Toledo. If Charles gets in foul trouble like he did, we will struggle to win games.

I’m a big fan of Ratliff. Him adjusting to the speed of the college game is what is concerning to me as he seems to get himself into some silly foul situations. He’s gonna be a monster by the time he leaves.
