Can Ratliff come in and be effective on both ends of the floor if Kitenge gets in foul trouble? Can Thomas effectively run the point for 10 min so Fulks doesn’t have to go 35 minutes or more 3 days in a row. Can Hardy and Fields come in and contribute in a close competitive game especially if Garnett’s shots aren’t falling? It still surprised me those 2 didn’t see the floor at Toledo. Wright St will be a worthy opponent, they are 0-3 but played a neck and neck game against Toledo that they lost by 1 point and also played competitively at Indiana last night losing by 9.
Can Ratliff start when Marlin realizes Kitenge is not helping the team? Issue becomes they didn't go get a big and will struggle without a serviceable body down there to rebound and play defense.

I’m a big fan of Ratliff. Him adjusting to the speed of the college game is what is concerning to me as he seems to get himself into some silly foul situations. He’s gonna be a monster by the time he leaves.

Wednesday night was impressive breaking the school record but keep in mind that was LC, and 6 of those 18 threes came from Garnett. Now let me say I like Kentrell Garnett, love the walk-on to starter story, and he is a better on ball defender than most people realize. However his production down the stretch has noticeably tapered off the past 2 seasons. In his 10 career post season games he has scored a total of 26 points and is a very pedestrian 7-29 (24%) from three. In fact he has only hit double digits in the scoring column one time after February 1st each of the past 2 seasons. I know Mike theorized last year on the podcast that maybe he was just worn down after drawing the defensive assignments of the opposing team's top scorer every game and that may be true. Whatever has led to it he will need to step up this year and have a few big scoring games come tournament time if we want to win those 3 in March.

Garnett is not a starting caliber 2 guard in this league. Our backcourt is way too small with him at the 2.

Absolutely. There’s no FCS or FBS in basketball thus no transition.
