    Football is scheduled by AD.

    Basketball is scheduled by coach.

At least that is how it used to be.

Can’t wait for them to beat us with their triple option.

Oregon, Washington St. is where I would start.

    Anytime anywhere.

    Go there first

The “we had no other options” argument only holds water when you consider that NMSU is the reason for the change. Which begs the question: why are we stuck scheduling home and homes with bottom feeder programs like that to begin with? Because we insist on playing 6 home games per year regardless of the quality and most likely to the detriment of the quality. We won’t even consider 2 for 1s. Back to back years we have landed in dire straits where we are stuck looking for the only possible FBS program left. Hit the road for big games more often. If it means we miss the ultimate goal, the end all be all of football, the promised land (i.e. freaking bowl eligibility), then so be it.

It's almost like they announced this now before everybody realized that we had a golden opportunity to schedule those 2 schools right now.

You know, youre right. The timing is most fortuitous. It all makes sense now.

We have the FCS game to begin the year. That is a win. All we need to do after that is have a winning record in conference and we are Bowling. If we can't have a winning record in conference, we don't deserve to go Bowling.

    I agree wholeheartedly.

I just see our whole scheduling process currently as a means to set up success for that buzzword/easy propaganda goal. Same as bball scheduling to make it as easy as possible to hit that glorified 20 wins mark.

The goal should be the SBC title and scheduling to have a resume that gets us into the CFP.

    Kennesaw State ain’t it.
