We will have lost like 5 of last 6 whilst being favored in most of these losses when we play their in just 9 months. We have ZERO reasons to talk down to anyone. We are not LTURd.

Coaches: Just get there prepared, please play 4 full quarters, kick their arse and get 2024 off to a respectable start. Amen.

Clearly we don’t plan to participate in the playoffs. Otherwise we would have done everything possible to sign one of the PAC instead of CDOA

    Yes, unfortunately it's pretty clear.

    That’s how I see it

Everything we do is to be Bowl eligible. Zepp is correct. Bowl eligible is the new 20 win basketbtall season.

30 years ago, both meant everything. Today, not even close.

Scheduling is not Dr. Maggard's forte. It's part of the problem (not all) we have with attendance.

    I disagree.

My only beef is their unwillingness to even entertain a 2 for 1 deal.

Other than that we have home games scheduled with Tulane, la tech, rice, UAB, Tulsa amongst others along with local FCS schools and winnable FBS schools. Our conference is getting better and better each year. To position ourselves as the top g5. These are the types of schedules that set us up for 11-0, 10-1 seasons and a playoff spot in the future.

These are the type of schedules that had the boises states, northern Illinois, hawaiis, coastal and now jmus, tulanes ans liberty’s ranked and in prime spots to be the top ranked g5 school.

Also if it wasn’t for Maggard and his connection we would have been playing 2 fcs schools this year instead of Buffalo.

Y’all have to remember how much the conference realignment right now is throwing a huge wrench into all this. Case in point NMSU.

The analysis of CajunJack is solid. It maps out a calculated and reasonably achievable game plan for success success of a G5 in the upcoming college playoff structure.

Sorry, you can butter it up all you want, but most of our scheduled home games do not attract the average crowd, only the devoted, and Kennesaw certainly won't. Rice, really? You going to use Rice and UAB as desirable home games that create a buzz? Not happening.

I never mentioned anything about them being “desirable” home games. Desirable is subjective. Home and homes with Rice and UAB also allows are fans bases to travel to these games as well as they are regional. Gets our team in Houston and Birmingham so local recruits can see. It’s more to scheduling then just getting “desirable” home games. Remember Boises state home and home didn’t exactly move the needle either…

So, we are talking about 2 different topics. That's fine, my comment above was about having a desirable schedule that attracts fans and that's not Dr. Maggard's forte.

Well back then, many were eligible but still didn't go

IMO, scheduling Rice, Tulsa, Tulane and UAB to Cajun Field is desirable. Good job, keep them coming. This Cusa K State thing is a head scratcher. We just need to whip them when we play.

    1983

    113 D1 football programs
    274 D1 MBB programs
Mothership not really an issue yet.

133 FBS programs and 351 D1 MBB programs today. And the mothership rules everything. And sets the pecking order.

Was watching Gameday, listening to Pat MacAfee trash the NCAA up and down. Started laughing, figured the mothership threw JMU a bone this weekend, let people vent and it goes away.
