I said I need to take a course, not a definition.
Until I take the course, I don't see how silence until you have a solution helps much.
If you are silent in the moment and delay till you have a solution, the ones you present it to will either look at you like you have no basis, or at the very least will have lost valuable time coming up with their own solution
. . . it is quite amazing how you always trend towards a red herring and are always antagonistic towards a Cajuns fan who tries diligently to have an opposing and positive post about our university, its players and coaches . . . there is really something wrong with that . . . one would think that you and all true Cajun fans would be at least somewhat supportive of the many posts I make in favor our our university, its players and coaches . . . those are no longer desirable here . . .
First things first. I didn't say it's weird and obsessive to talk about other schools. I said its weird and obsessive to speak about the goals of your athletic program exclusively in comparison to other programs. That is, there's nothing wrong with valuing the court of public opinion, but it is weird if your court of public opinion consists primarily of other fanbases. My point is that you should care less about what other fanbases think and more about what your own fanbase thinks. Otherwise, talk about other schools as much as you want.
Second, I only recently learned about this site, and I think it's interesting because, though I claim to be a fan of another school, I have lived in Lafayette my entire life, except for college which was out of state. I also went to two UL games this season and had a really nice time. I never realized there were UL fans as passionate as the ones on RP, so I am interested to hear your perspectives, even if I might disagree with them.
Third, I am more of a college sport fan than a pro sport fan, so while I like the Saints, I get more excited for Saturdays. And for what it's worth, I hate LSU more than any of you combined, so if you're trying to figure out who I cheer for, you can scratch that team off your list.
Fourth, and most importantly, equestrian can actually be really interesting, especially for programs that repeatedly contend for national championships. But I fully acknowledge that it's not nearly as interesting as water skiing.
I wouldn't say that they are only meant to troll, though it happens a lot. Vic does come across as very antagonistic even when he's trying to make a good point, and that's not great. But in his defense, I can name several other people who are more blatantly antagonistic, and who are more aggressive in their attacks. Yet, they don't get the same reputation because there are more of them who band together. Mob mentality.
