Our administration is short sighted if they believe CMD has the same talent, experience, or connections as CBN. MH has financially strapped athletics and we are hoping to get similar results.

Miss St has zero path to the CFP. He can get there at Tulane.

    . . . Robe did not leave . . . I doubt that Justin ever leaves . . . and that was not correct . . .

I have no way of knowing whether it is or isn't true (but I trust you on that).

Assuming it is true, it makes me even more disappointed in the admin and mad for Des. If Lanning was indeed on campus, regardless of how close we could have been to making a contract offer to him, this shows that we had interest from the right caliber of candidate. Heck, we had interest from a better-than-expect caliber of candidate.

So to turn around and hire Des was likely a disservice to the career of Des. They had to know that going in. And since then, they've continually sent the parrots out to this site to spread the narrative of "Des is all we can afford". Its a narrative that is demonstrably false, and yet it keeps coming up. Because they want it to keep coming up. Self-imposed limits are always the most powerful.

. . . none of this is true . . . par for the course . . . you even admit that you have no clue if your narrative is correct . . . trust yourself, it is not . . .

. . . agendas are usually built on the stretching of a small fraction of the truth . . . no matter how tiny it might be . . . like just having the right name in the conversation and nothing else . . .

That would mean there was a national search.

In the past 2 years, this is the first I hear this, anywhere, on either front.

It wasn't national. Pete Goulding got a call and Dan Lanning visited, via connections on the (then) current staff. Don't let these clowns tell you otherwise.
