Does it though? Bc the media like his name? He is almost a willie taggart, Keeps getting fired but for some reason keeps being given opportunities. So if it doesn’t work it’s okay bc he is a name guy. It’s fine to fail as long as you are a house hold failure

I think he just wanted to be surrounded by people he trusted and that helped build his system here in Lafayette.

Matter who We hired, there was going to be a rebuild. We lost almost 50% of the 2021 roster. Regardless of what anyone here thinks, you know hasn’t had one single excuse for any of this? Mike, which is what matters.
That can be attributed to 22 losses what about 2023 with an even easier SOS .

Oh I get it, and a lot of those guy were Louisiana connections not napiers, but for some reason when Mike surrounds himself with his people “it’s bc he doesn’t know anyone”

We lost almost the whole defense this year and 2 season ending injuries to QB’s and starting center. Not sure how many G5’s make a bowl game ending with their 3rd Qb.

Not 100% but guys like Sumrall , Malzahn , Drinkwitz sure seem to have had great success with a P5 coordinator background. Seems like the correct formula in the sbc.

You will lose guys every year too bad there is not a portal to back fill gaps with. Chandler played very well that is not an viable excuse. USM played their 3rd string QB and still won in cajun field

Of course we always will. We return a lot this year, We are in position to win all these Games, just like majority of the guys who went 13-1 went 7-7…they figured out how to win, including Napier. Maybe we will get lucky and the second best team in the west will be 4-8,5-7 like when Napier was here when Troy was in the east. Or somebody hires Sumrall away

If you’re selling me on him needing to keep the momentum going, yea…maybe he needs all the carts on the train to keep going.
