Is it fans fault or do in state schools have more pull with the four letter to convince them never to choose us
I guess the mistake by Dr the fossil was moving us up to D1 too.early. talk about ironic....
Also ncaa said instead of using the 5-7 tiebrekers, jmu gets first slot over a 5-7 team, if any... and army could bring an interest twist to conversation, chance for 6-6, with 2 fcs wins and won't know until dec9
it has to be that; no other plausible reasons.
huge movements currently underway at Clemson, auburn and Miami to get those limiting "town names" out of sight/out of mind.
Miami is not in Miami ironically enough...
And private schools are not a good fit
Miami of Florida is 450,000 pop
Miami of Ohio is 4,500 pop
Miami of Ohio isn't changing they've been around over 200 years.
Clemson has no name competitor.
Auburn is also unique.
Vermilion as the local schools name would, have been distintive.
Lafayette College has also been, around 200 years. And Lafayette Leopards logos regularly show up representing UL Lafayette.
There are also 20 other Lafayette communities in the US.
No rational marketing or branding firm would adopt Lafayette as their brand.
