Well, typically they use shape charges placed in critical load bearing beams, causing the structure to implode. The shape charges (maybe RDX) can be placed in places that allow control over how the building collapses minimizing chances for collateral damage.

Since the lower deck will be retained, I expect the upper deck demolition will go gingerly.

Protecting the turf would definitely be a consideration but I’m pretty sure the lower bowl on the west side is getting ripped out too

Are they building a ground level suite under what would be the side levee?

My understanding was that the whole west side will be gone and a new seating will be there with the new tower

The lower deck is not being retain. It will be a new construction from the ground up is what I was told. Nothing existing will still be there.

Can we sell Ragin Cajun branded sunscreen for next year's games?

    Sponsorship from Sunsetter Awnings?

Not sure of that but I think more to do with current slope and spacing codes of the lower bowl as well as the slope of the entrances to Cajun Field

The SEZ seats were built to current standards. East side lower bowl would be redone after next season
