It’s obviously nothing more than speculation. I think that local recruiting will always be hampered by LSU being so close. I think that smaller schools in bigger conferences always struggle. And generally speaking, it’s just so hard to survive a grueling season in a P5 conference without dropping 5 games or so.

Just once I’d like to see a troll back up their threat to leave.

You can spew your know place garbage as much as you like. Don’t expect everyone else to take it as gospel though.

Make it stop. Just no. Plain and simple.

Posters who think UL can be major college football program. Posters who think that a long way off. Posters who think UL wants nothing more than to be the best version of itself. Posters who think UL wants to be like other schools. Posters who think UL doesn't compare itself to P5 schools. Posters who directly compare UL to P5 schools.
This serves to show fans are not of one minset and workable models can come in many forms and fashion.

You did a good job of showing that opinions, run the gambit.

Yet for some reason earlier you implied posters as being lumped together.

Not sure how you arrived at that perception.

The SBC is the strongest G5 league top to bottom. In 2024 the CFP is expanding to 12 and the highest ranked G5 champion will get in. If JMU were eligible they would get in.

So for your ignorant self, understand that in most years the SBC champ with 1 or 2 losses will be in the CFP hunt.

If you think it’s easier to beat Texas, Oklahoma, Bama, Ole Miss, Auburn, Miss St, Arkansas and Florida every year than it is to go undefeated in the SBC you’re dumb.

Through the years there have been many discussions about how, when LSU is at its best the door opens, wider for Louisiana to get better recruits.

Simply because when, LSU is at its peak, they tend to go more down the nationwide recruiting trail.

These conversations took place years ago but case in point, look at what Louisiana did following LSU's most recent National Championship run.

Louisiana had some of its best recruiting classes in recent memory.

Hey stupid. Take a look at the current CFP rankings. 3 loss teams are ranked higher than any G5 team (Tulane) with one loss.

None of that erases the fact that UL has as good of an open door chance to make the College Football Playoffs as LSU does".

It will take scheduling tougher much tougher.

But the opportunity, "chance" to capitalize on that opportunity is as open to Louisiana as it is to LSU.
