I am not sure what real world skills Jordan has acquired which would pay more than playing professionally overseas

I’m looking at the long game with career advancement.

Dan Gay (Cajun inside guy in the 80's) played in Italy until he was 40. Shawn Long has made a boatload of dollars playing in Asia in recent years. Kasey Shepherd (guard who played with Elfrid Payton and Shawn) is also successful financially due to his overseas pro career. Jordan Brown has the talent to become successful in the long financial game by playing overseas with the proper dedication.

Who wouldn't want to have a pro career living in Italy?

Kevin Figaro made some decent money overseas.

Looks like Jordan Brown declared for the NBA draft.

I think his stock would have been higher if he had stayed and duplicated at Louisiana.

No doubt. Would have more than covered the NIL difference.

Hindsight, though. Regardless of how it went down, I still don't think you can convince a top-level player that trying to suit up for Memphis is the wrong decision.

JMO, but if he stayed at UL, combined with a real power forward in Kitenge, he likely would have been the SBC POY and taken UL to the NCAA tournament which would have gotten him a lot of national pub and likely increased his NBA draft status.

That is obvious. Which is why I did say it was "just my opinion"

Obviously, we'll never know what could have been if he had stayed, but the probability of him winning the conference POY and helping get us in the big dance was a strong likelihood!

There was a reason Memphis came a calling.

Sometimes though, when the pieces fit together perfectly, it's best to stay away from a situation with too many moving parts.

Unfortunately planning is out the window and "too many moving parts" are now the norm.

Every year some will strike lightning but they won't be able to bottle it.

Who is to say that we would have ever seen Kitenge if the big fish still had Jordan
