Why can't other students tell other students about games?
Any organization I was in, nobody from administration ever announced our meeting times for us, we put up flyers, we spoke to people, we had tables on corner of rex, etc, etc
I even recall, and this might boggle the mind of many, actually sitting next to players in class. Are they allowed to tell their classmates they have a game?
I also don't recall anyone ever being confirmed in the late fall/winter timeframe
How are posts about how bad martin hall decisions are and leading to expected poor attendance is expected supposed to increase attendance?
Thursday night games should be illegal.
Wow, cool new avatar
I'm not taking a side, just throwing this out there as I like to look at things from different angles.
Earlier this year (February 2023), some members of the student body were pushing for a "Mental Health Day" where the students were given a day off. That is documented in this article: https://thevermilion.net/2023/02/07/...s-and-faculty/
The students were granted the day off, but don't any of you find it odd that it just happened fall on the day of our Thursday night football game. It appears this was coordinated by someone at the university to coincide with our nationally televised football game.
I know Martin Hall isn't in love with athletics, but someone got the Mental Health Day to fall on the exact same day that it works out best for football. I don't think it is just a coincidence.
Last year, USM shut their campus down for the Thursday night game against us. People here praised USM for doing so and complained "UL would never do that". Well, we did it and now we have a lot of the same people complaining about it.
