It started in January year one. It was well documented he changed the process and went much softer. What we are seeing now in the discipline and the lack of detail and mental toughness are all about January to August. I said as much in year one pre season before his first game. Sorry I don’t buy this. Napier openly vouched for Des to take over the program when he was leaving. Maggard said this himself. You don’t do that for someone you wouldn’t want on your team.

My opinion (and it does not mean much as I am no means a football expert) is that two decisions cost us the game. First is not kicking a FG right before half. Second is having Gillie move to center from guard after the Burton injury. Moreau moved to guard at that point. That required two lineman to play out of position. When Fordham went in at center, the snap operation was much smoother. Granted we could not run the ball much in that move. I know hindsight is 20/20. However I believe if either of those two decisions are reversed, Cajuns likely win the game.

Why would mike go to Florida as an assistant if he is a head coach here. Florida as TE coach would have been a backwards move.
