Not only did Maggard ____ the bed by making a bad hire, he just ruined the career of one of our own. I don’t blame Des for not being ready. Hell, offer me 750k and I’ll agree to coach. Maggard completely wasted everything that Napier brought to this program and may have just ruined Mikes career. Get the ____ out of here. You obviously don’t have our school in your best interest and just thought you had a cush stepping stone job.

Don’t think that is what he was implying. It’s painfully obvious that Des isn’t ready, but he COULD have been ready later on in his career after getting more experience other places.

How many college head coaches have you seen bomb at their first head coaching opportunity, get fired, and make their way all the way back to another head coaching opportunity? Most of the time, they end up as a washed up high school coach somewhere.

Maggard knew how to hire a successful coach, and ignored his past accomplishments by thinking too much. He and Savoie screwed up. He still won’t know until over a year fom now. Sad.
